Craft Fairs, Markets and Pottery Workshops

Craft · Events

Craft fairs, markets, open studio weekends and hands-on workshops in ceramics, textiles, jewellery, glass and wood. The people running them post the dates here themselves, so a listing carries what the organiser wanted said: what happens, where, when, and where to go next. The calendar needs no account.

A craft fair is trestle tables and a card reader, twenty makers who have been driving since six, and one potter who brought a wheel and is throwing all afternoon. An open studio is a different animal: you are in the room where the work happens, standing next to the kiln, and the questions get technical fast.

Each listing gives dates, times, a location and a link out to the workshop's own page, which is where any registration or ticketing actually lives. Read all of it without an account. When a course comes out of one workshop rather than off a fair stall, that maker's email and phone are on their profile and you write to them.

Workshop listings repay close reading, because the word covers a two hour taster and a ten week evening course equally well. The useful details are the ones makers do include: how many places, whose clay, whether firing and glazing are part of it, and how long you wait before a pot comes back out of the kiln.
