Short Films, Documentaries and Music Videos
Film · Works
Short films, documentaries, music videos, experimental pieces and commissioned work, uploaded by the directors and crews who shot them. Each entry opens as the maker built it: the film itself as an embed or a direct upload, then the synopsis, the credits, the year and the format underneath.
A short is not a trailer for a feature. Most of what sits here runs under twenty minutes and was paid for out of somebody's own pocket, which shows in the choices: one location, two actors, natural light, a crew of five who all did three jobs each. Documentaries arrive in rough cuts and finished versions alike.
Watching costs nothing and needs no account. Open a piece, play it, then read what the director wrote about how it got made, which on a self-funded short is usually the most useful thing on the page. The profile behind it carries the email and phone, and that is where a commission or a crew job gets discussed.
Watching a short is a twelve minute commitment, which no still image asks of anyone. So the running time, the format and the synopsis sit right under the player, and directors tend to write a paragraph about what the thing is rather than a logline. Credits go in the same block, down to whoever mixed the sound, because on a crew that size the next job comes out of the last one.
