Photography exhibitions, portfolio reviews, darkroom sessions and photo walks, each with its dates, its address and a link to whoever is running it. Photographers post their own openings here, and so do the galleries, labs and studios that put them on. The listing tells you when it opens and when it comes down.

A photography show is a short thing. Prints hang for a few weeks, come down, and the work goes back to being a file. That is why the dates matter more here than in most disciplines, and why the listing carries the closing date as well as the opening. Some entries run for one evening only, which is usually the case with a darkroom session or a slide night.

Where a place is needed, the link goes straight to the organiser's own site, and Spanish Artists has no part in what happens there. No account is needed to read one. An account earns its keep for a single thing: follow a photographer and the next show they hang reaches you, which matters when the announcement comes two weeks out.

Portfolio reviews are the part that photographers actually plan a year around. Twenty minutes across a table with an editor or a curator decides whether a project gets seen, and the listings say who is reviewing and what kind of work they take. Photo walks and darkroom evenings are the cheaper end of the same thing, and the listing names whoever is leading one.
