Musicians, Composers and Session Players

Musicians who publish their own portfolios: singers, instrumentalists, composers, producers and whole bands. Some post finished masters, some a phone recording from the rehearsal room, some the score and nothing else. Contact details sit on the profile, so an enquiry about a booking reaches the person who plays.

Work in music splits along lines that do not show up in a genre tag. A player who deps on trumpet for three bands is doing a different job from a producer who never leaves the room, and both are different again from someone writing for a string quartet. Profiles name the instrument, the voice type, the software, the years.

Nothing on a profile is locked: play what is there, read the credits, open the contact tab, all without an account. Musicians publish their own phone number or email, so an enquiry about a dep or a session reaches the player directly. The one thing signing in changes is order: what the people you follow post arrives by date, which is how a gig list has to work.

The formats stack up quickly on a musician's page. Audio files and embedded SoundCloud or Spotify players sit next to video of a live set, a photograph of a handwritten chart, and text explaining what the piece is for. That mix matters when someone is working out whether a player reads a lead sheet at sight or plays by ear.
